Abstract
The experiments were carried out to clarify the daylength responses of summer flowering cultivars in chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflorum Kitamura). ¢¥Chunilbeon¢¥ and ¢¥Chunkwang¢¥, cultivars flowering in June under natural climate, initiated its flower buds, regardless of daylengths in range of 17-21 hours. ¢¥Baegkwang¢¥ and ¢¥Joungwoon¢¥, cultivars flowering in July, initiated only in natural condition (control), but not under the daylengths of 17-21 hours. It was found to be impossible to control flowering time of ¢¥Chungkwang¢¥ by night break, while it was possible to control the flower bud differtiation of ¢¥Baegkwang¢¥ by night break. Flowering time of ¢¥Baegkwang¢¥ could be delayed up to August or September.
